Here is a recent photo of the kids. I figured it'd be a great idea to include that since my last post was in August of last year. Lame! I have a renewed interest in keeping my blog up to date. I have really started to enjoy reading other blogs and thought my blog would be an easy way to share our life! Sharing our life will be so important in the months to come. We are preparing for a BIG move from Oregon to North Carolina. It is happy and sad. Happy because Rob has needed a better career. Sad because we have lived here...around our family and friends for the past 12 years. That seems hard to imagine. 
I will say that the idea of moving to a sunnier state is appealing. I named my blog KarisSunshine because I knew that I would have to create my own here in Oregon. So often I would feel blue because of the ever present grey skies and rain, but my family makes me happy. 
Last night I crawled into bed and found something in my pillow case crinkling. I turned on the light and pulled out a weird little baggie with a post it. The note said, Mom you can keep the bag too. Inside the bag was an awful necklace. It was so funny and ridiculously random. I went to sleep laughing. 
Currently I have not embraced packing or moving or saying good bye. It is business as usual as I try to finish teaching my last few art classes. One thing at a time....
